Exodus landed on Island Records in June 1977, Bob Marley & The Wailers' ninth studio LP and the record TIME magazine later crowned the greatest album of the twentieth century. Cut over six weeks in London while Marley was in exile from Jamaica, the record housed Jamming, Waiting in Vain, Three Little Birds and the title track, a slow-building call-and-response built on Aston 'Family Man' and Carlton Barrett's rhythm section.
