Ivor Arbiter drew the drop-T Beatles wordmark in May 1963 for the head of Ringo Starr's Ludwig Oyster Black Pearl bass drum, shortening the lower half of the T so the L of BEATLES could stay prominent. It's been the band's shorthand mark ever since, printed onto Please Please Me 1963, With the Beatles November 1963 and A Hard Day's Night 1964 tour materials. The diamante treatment reworks the drop-T in cluster-set crystal stones.
