The drop-T Beatles wordmark was drawn up by drum retailer Ivor Arbiter in May 1963 to fit a Ludwig Oyster Black Pearl kit that Ringo Starr was picking up ahead of the band's Palladium appearance, the T shortened to keep the L of BEATLES prominent above the drum's front logo hoop. The design has stayed on Ringo's kit and the group's graphic identity through Please Please Me 1963, With the Beatles November 1963, A Hard Day's Night 1964 and forward into the Sgt. Pepper's 1967 and Abbey Road 1969 late catalogue.

The cap comes in a cotton crown on a white colourway with the black drop-T logo held across the front, on an adjustable strap.
