Ivor Arbiter drew the drop-T Beatles wordmark in May 1963 for Ringo's Ludwig Oyster Black Pearl bass-drum head ahead of the Palladium appearance, shortening the T so the L of BEATLES stayed prominent above the drum front hoop. The mark has stayed on the drum kit and on the merch through Please Please Me 1963, With the Beatles November 1963, A Hard Day's Night 1964 and Sgt Pepper 1967 into Abbey Road 1969, and the cap carries that wordmark as a stitched badge on the crown.
