Woodstock was the three-day music-and-arts festival held on Max Yasgur's dairy farm in Bethel, New York over 15 to 17 August 1969, drawing more than 400,000 people to a bill led by Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Janis Joplin, Santana and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The peace-dove-on-guitar logo, drawn by Arnold Skolnick that same year, has stayed the festival's public face across every anniversary reissue and merch run since.
