Cradle Of Filth formed in Suffolk in 1991 and cut Vestal Masturbation as an early promo cassette that circulated the tape-trading underground before The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh landed on Cacophonous Records in 1994. The Suffolk collective's gothic-symphonic register was already on the tape.
