Let's Dance landed on EMI America in April 1983 as Bowie's fifteenth studio album, produced with Nile Rodgers at the Power Station in New York. Stevie Ray Vaughan played lead guitar on the sessions; the title track topped the UK and US charts and set the Serious Moonlight tour year.
