Guns N' Roses formed in Los Angeles in 1985 around Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler, cracking open the Sunset Strip glam-metal-into-hard-rock cycle with Appetite for Destruction (Geffen, July 1987). The classic Slash / Duff / Axl line-up returned to the road on the Not in This Lifetime run (2016-2019) and has stayed on tour through the years since.
