Kreator formed in Essen, Germany in 1982 alongside Sodom, Destruction and Tankard as the Big Four of German thrash, with Mille Petrozza at the helm across a catalogue that runs from Endless Pain (1985), Pleasure to Kill (1986) and Terrible Certainty (1987) through Coma of Souls (1990), Enemy of God (2005), Phantom Antichrist (2012) and Hate über Alles (2022). The jagged wordmark has been the band's shopfront since the early sleeves.
