Repentless landed as Slayer's twelfth and final studio album in September 2015. Tom Araya, Kerry King, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph closed the band's catalogue with the same lockstep thrash they opened it with in 1981, and the album ran as the backbone of the farewell touring cycle right through to the 2019 Wacken shows.
