Sepultura formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1984 and grew from underground extreme-metal roots to one of the most internationally recognised bands ever to come out of South America. The circular logo has appeared on records, tour kit and merchandise since the band's early years, becoming the visual emblem fans most readily recognise alongside the angular text logo.
