Rock or Bust landed on Columbia in November 2014 as the band's seventeenth studio album, the first recorded without Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar. Brendan O'Brien produced across two months at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, and the shattered-block cover treatment gave the record a stripped-back visual to match the shorter, harder-edged tracks inside.
