For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) came out in November 1981 as the group's eighth studio record, the direct follow-up to Back in Black, and Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd tracked it in Paris with Mutt Lange as producer. The album cover put a heavy-brass cannon at the front, and the 40th anniversary Flaming reissue adds torch-fire to the cannon barrel across the back-print treatment so the anniversary graphic reads at stadium scale even off the shoulders.
