I Don't Know How But They Found Me, founded by Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman in 2016, took the band's name from a Back to the Future line and built an entire visual world around the conceit of a fictional rediscovered 80s pop act. The debut LP RAZZMATAZZ (2020) leaned hard into that mock-vintage aesthetic, and the But They Found Me motif references the band's full name and the visual language of its mythology directly.
