Killers, released February 1981, was Iron Maiden's second studio album and the first with Adrian Smith on guitar — though notably Paul Di'Anno's last as vocalist before Bruce Dickinson stepped in. Derek Riggs's cover painting, with Eddie clutching a bloodied axe outside a back-alley scene, became one of the defining images in NWOBHM iconography. The full painted detail translates straight onto the back patch.
