Screaming For Vengeance, released July 1982, took Judas Priest from headlining act to global metal institution, with You've Got Another Thing Comin' breaking the band on US rock radio. The cover artwork (a chrome-bodied robotic bird, the "Hellion," swooping over a cracked landscape) was painted by Doug Johnson and remains one of the most-quoted images in the early-eighties metal canon.
