Creatures of the Night was released in October 1982 on Casablanca / Mercury and pushed the band back toward harder, heavier rock after the disco-leaning Dynasty and Unmasked. It was the last album to feature original drummer Peter Criss on the cover and the first to introduce Vinnie Vincent material on guitar.
