Marduk formed in Norrköping, Sweden, in 1990 (Morgan Hakansson founding member). The band anchors the second-wave Swedish black metal scene with a discography that stretches from Fuck Me Jesus (1991) through Memento Mori (2023) on Century Media. The Norrkoping motif is a hometown-flag design nodding to the band's Östergötland origin.
