Slipknot came up out of Des Moines, Iowa in the mid-1990s, with the self-titled debut on Roadrunner in 1999 launching the masked-and-numbered nine-piece into the metal catalogue. The pentagram has anchored the band's visual register across Iowa (2001), Vol. 3 (2004) and the records that followed.

The backpack carries a spacious main compartment with a zip-fastening front pocket, an internal padded laptop compartment with a padded base, and a side bottle pocket.
