The Doors formed in Venice, California in 1965 around Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore, and cut six studio LPs for Elektra Records from 1967's self-titled debut through 1971's L.A. Woman. The cursive Doors logo used across sleeves and posters from that Elektra run is the type-treatment reproduced here.
