The tongue-and-lips mark came out of John Pasche's Royal College of Art brief in 1970, commissioned by Mick Jagger for the newly formed Rolling Stones Records label and first pressed onto the inner sleeve of Sticky Fingers the following spring. The tie-dye variant recasts the silhouette in psychedelic wash.
