Some Girls came out in 1978 and is widely cited as the Stones' commercial late-period comeback after several flatter records. The original sleeve carried the band shot in drag wigs against a die-cut faux make-up advert, which had to be reworked after several Hollywood stars (and Lucille Ball) objected to their likenesses appearing without consent. The Circle V.2. design is a tighter, roundel-style re-quote of the same era's visual identity.
