Welcome to ATC Music Merch, your ultimate destination for officially licensed Sonic Youth
merchandise!
Our Sonic Youth range covers t-shirts, hoodies, jumpers and accessories drawn from one of the
most distinctive visual catalogues in American alternative music. Whether you want a clean
album-art tee or a heavier hooded top, the pieces here are chosen for people who know the
records properly.
Sonic Youth formed in New York in 1981 around Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon, with Lee Ranaldo
and later Steve Shelley completing the line-up that made their best-known work. "Daydream
Nation", recorded in New York in the summer of 1988, is widely treated as the record that made
them one of the most respected bands in independent music. "Goo" followed in 1990, expanding
Kim Gordon's role as a vocalist and songwriter and reaching number 96 on the Billboard 200,
their highest chart position at that point, and "Dirty" arrived in 1992, with "Washing
Machine" following in 1995. Across that run the band became one of the most significant
American groups of their era, and their sleeve artwork became as recognisable as the guitar
tunings, which is exactly what makes this collection worth browsing.
Every garment is made to last. We use soft cotton that keeps its shape after repeated washing,
with durable prints that hold their detail rather than cracking away. Sizing runs across a
proper range so you can get the cut you want, fitted or loose.
Our accessories sit alongside the clothing, with caps, beanies, patches, badges, bags and
socks available. For a band whose imagery works as well small as it does across a chest print,
patches and badges are a natural way in.
ATC Music Merch is committed to stocking authentic, officially licensed merchandise. Every
piece here is officially licensed, which means the artwork is reproduced with the approval of
the rights holders rather than copied. We do not stock bootlegs or unofficial versions.
From "Daydream Nation" through "Goo" and "Dirty", Sonic Youth spent a decade rewriting what a
guitar band could sound like, and the artwork has aged just as well as the records. Shop now
for officially licensed Sonic Youth merchandise built for people who wore these records out.
