The Misfits formed in Lodi, New Jersey in 1977 around Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, laying down the horror-punk template across Static Age 1978, Walk Among Us 1982 and Earth A.D. 1983. Brian 'Pushead' Schroeder built his name in the Eighties hardcore scene through Zorlac skate graphics and Metallica sleeve art, and his cross-hatched skull renditions have carried the Misfits' Crimson Ghost Fiend mascot through the band's re-formations and reunion shows.
