The Trooper landed on Piece of Mind in 1983, Steve Harris pulling the lyric from Tennyson's Charge of the Light Brigade (1854, Crimean War) and Derek Riggs painting Eddie into a British Army officer's dress uniform. The single sleeve became one of Maiden's most-quoted graphic pieces and has stayed in the touring set list to this day.
