In Utero landed on 21 September 1993, cut in two weeks at Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota with Steve Albini engineering. The sleeve carried Robert Fisher's transparent-angel cover art with an anatomical-figure illustration on the back, and the anatomical figure has since read as one of the record's most-quoted visual anchors. The design keeps the front hit tight and lands the anatomical angel across the back.

Available in an orange colourway on the eco-friendly recycled cotton and polyester blank; unisex short-sleeve cut with a full back print, sized S through XX-Large. Slots into a Nirvana rotation next to Nevermind and Bleach tees.
