Eluveitie formed in Winterthur, Switzerland in 2002 as a Celtic folk-metal act built around traditional instruments (hurdy-gurdy, whistles, bagpipes) layered over death-metal foundations. Ategnatos (2019) is their ninth studio album; the title translates from Gaulish as "reborn", and the sleeve heraldry became a visual centrepiece for the tour cycle.
