Sun Records held Elvis Presley's contract from July 1954 to November 1955, the short window in which he and Sam Phillips' studio cut "That's All Right", "Mystery Train" and three other singles before the deal sold to RCA. The same room at 706 Union Avenue ran on a shoestring that also turned out Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison, and the Sun catalogue has been trading on those two years ever since.
