The Savannah, Georgia sludge-metal outfit released Gold & Grey as the sixth and (at the time) final album in their colour-cycle series, every Baroness studio LP named for a colour, every cover painted by frontman John Baizley. Gold & Grey closed the cycle that opened with 2007's Red Album and ran through Blue, Yellow & Green, and Purple. The cover painting reads as one of metal's most considered pieces of album art of the late 2010s.
