Sin After Sin arrived on Columbia Records in April 1977 as Judas Priest's third studio album, produced by Roger Glover and cut at Ramport and Wessex Studios in London. Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, K.K. Downing and Ian Hill built the record around "Sinner," "Diamonds and Rust" and "Dissident Aggressor," pushing the Birmingham band's proto-metal register harder than either of the two Gull albums before it.
