The Beatles (1968), known universally as the White Album, was packaged with Richard Hamilton's deliberately stark all-white sleeve design. The original LP came with four individual portraits of John, Paul, George and Ringo printed inside, the only photographs in the otherwise blank packaging. The White Album Faces back print draws on those inner-sleeve portraits directly.
