Iain Macmillan's Abbey Road cover was shot in ten minutes on 8 August 1969 outside EMI Studios in St John's Wood, London. John, Ringo, Paul and George stepped across the zebra crossing that has since become the most-visited photo location in British pop. The album, released 26 September 1969 on Apple, is the last one the four recorded together in the studio.
