Reggatta de Blanc came out in October 1979 as the Police's second album and their first UK number one, cementing the reggae-inflected post-punk sound the band would ride through the early eighties. The design rebadges that album onto an 8-track cartridge, playing off the late-seventies format that still turned up in car dashboards when the LP was new.
